Project Overview

The Monticello Bypass is an 18-month project that started in October 2021 and consists of 3.43 miles of widening and reconstruction on the Monticello Bypass, beginning at I-16/SR 404 and extending to SR 83. The project consists of two bridges. One bridge spans 260 feet long and 40 feet wide with over 1200 linear feet of concrete beams. The second bridge crosses over Norfolk Southern Railroad tracks and spans 207 feet long and 40 feet wide with over 1,000 linear feet of concrete beams.
