Atlanta Beltline

The Atlanta Beltline Bridge spans over MLK Jr. Boulevard, around the same area as Morehouse College, and is in close proximity to the new Mercedes-Benz Stadium that will house the Atlanta Falcons. This project is revitalizing the area significantly, and also adding to the aesthetics and safety for the traveling public.

The bridge spans just over 76 feet long and is 72.5 feet wide. Of this 72.5 feet, 18 feet will be used as a walking path for pedestrians. The remaining width is being left for future expansion of the proposed rail system to be installed. There are over 100 steel piles in the foundation supporting the concrete structure. With over 1,100 cubic yards of concrete in the bridge supports and substructure, this bridge is being built to last. The structure will be topped with steel beams and a concrete deck surrounded by decorative fencing and granite facing for the public’s appearance and safety. This bridge is a big part of the overall Atlanta Beltline pathway to connect the City of Atlanta.
