Traffic Control Engineer
Job Responsibilities
- Review Georgia DOT designs pre bid submittal
- Design Traffic Control Shifts
- Implement layout of Traffic Control Shifts
- Ensure correct implementation of Traffic Control Devices
- Teach/ train correct traffic control specifications and implementation
- Prepare reports as needed and directed by management
- Resource for managers to answer traffic control questions
- 50/50 Field & Office
- Procure pricing and quotes for traffic control devices and equipment
- Assist with company litigation by giving depositions and testimony
Job Functions
- People Skills – Meet with E.R. Snell managers, Department of Transportation officials
- Problem solving skills – Negotiate solutions that are safe and cost efficient for the company and owner
- Computer Skills – Write letters, submit and track deliverables, handle submittals, scheduling
- Team Work – Ability to teach and work well with others
Software
- Proficiency in Word, Excel, Outlook
Education
- Professional Engineer
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Planning, Construction Management or related field
