Traffic Control Engineer

Job Responsibilities

  • Review Georgia DOT designs pre bid submittal
  • Design Traffic Control Shifts
  • Implement layout of Traffic Control Shifts
  • Ensure correct implementation of Traffic Control Devices
  • Teach/ train correct traffic control specifications and implementation
  • Prepare reports as needed and directed by management
  • Resource for managers to answer traffic control questions
  • 50/50 Field & Office
  • Procure pricing and quotes for traffic control devices and equipment
  • Assist with company litigation by giving depositions and testimony

Job Functions

  • People Skills – Meet with E.R. Snell managers, Department of Transportation officials
  • Problem solving skills – Negotiate solutions that are safe and cost efficient for the company and owner
  • Computer Skills – Write letters, submit and track deliverables, handle submittals, scheduling
  • Team Work – Ability to teach and work well with others

Software

  • Proficiency in Word, Excel, Outlook

Education

  • Professional Engineer
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Planning, Construction Management or related field
